Red Magic 8 Pro gaming phone revealed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

The Red Magic 8 Pro gaming phone has been launched globally. The India launch of this device is quite unlikely.

The 6.8-inch AMOLED screen on the gaming-oriented Red Magic 8 Pro has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 960Hz. The phone also has two 520Hz sampling rate touch-based shoulder triggers.

Its internal hardware consists of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It will be cooled by Nubia's ICE 11 technology, which boasts enhanced heat transfer and a redesigned 20,000 RPM fan to increase airflow and lower noise.

According to Red Magic, the Cube Performance Optimizer ensures steady frame rates and minimal power consumption while not in use for gaming.

It has an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 50MP camera with a Samsung GN5 sensor. The phone also has a 16MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies that is hidden behind the display.

The Red Magic 8 Pro has 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage available. A 3.5mm audio connector and stereo speakers are included. Wi-Fi 7 (4x4 MIMO), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C connector are among the available connectivity choices.
