Netflix's new co-CEOs confirm the end of password sharing

Netflix has confirmed that it will be ending its password sharing feature in the first quarter of 2023.

Co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos recently spoke to Bloomberg about the controlled password sharing approach that Netflix plans to roll out.

Peters emphasised that this will be a gradual process, and that those who have been using Netflix without paying for a subscription will eventually need to pay for content.

He also noted that the company anticipates some negative reactions from customers, but is aiming to increase its subscriber base by 15 to 20 million, with a focus on countries such as India.
