Vivo unveils X100 Ultra with 200MP telephoto, X100s, X100s Pro featuring MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC

Vivo has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones: the Vivo X100 Ultra, Vivo X100s, and Vivo X100s Pro in China on May 13th. The smartphones are now already available for pre-booking in China before the sales go live soon. While we await more details of the global launch, here’s all we know about the specs and features of the phones as they released in China.

Vivo X100 Ultra- Specs and Features

The Vivo X100 Ultra stands out with its advanced camera system. The main camera includes a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, and the periscope camera features a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 sensor co-developed with Samsung. This periscope camera, with a 1/1.4″ sensor, offers an f/2.67 aperture and 85mm equivalent focal length. It provides up to 3.7x optical zoom and 20x magnification in telephoto macro mode, featuring industry-leading CIPA 4.5 telephoto stabilization.

The X100 Ultra introduces Vivo’s proprietary BlueImage algorithm, tackling issues like backlighting and low-light detail preservation. The Vivo V3+ imaging chip supports 4K portrait video recording. The device’s 50MP main camera, with a 1/0.98” LYT-900 sensor and f/1.75 aperture, includes gimbal stabilization and supports 4K 120fps video recording and Dolby Vision. Additionally, it has a 14mm equivalent ultrawide camera with a 1/2″ 50MP LYT-600 sensor.

The X100 Ultra sports a curved 6.78-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED 2K display, with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels and a 1-120Hz refresh rate, reaching up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It features a 50MP front-facing camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Weighing 229 grams and measuring 9.23mm thick, it houses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Running on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, it is powered by a 5,500mAh battery supporting 80W fast wired charging and 30W wireless charging. It supports 5.5G, two-way satellite connectivity, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and is IP69 & IP68 rated.

Vivo X100s and X100s Pro- Specs and Features

The Vivo X100s and Vivo X100s Pro are the first phones to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. Both models have 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED displays with 1,260 x 2,800 pixel resolution, 10-bit colors covering 100% DCI-P3, and a brightness of 3,000 nits. They utilize 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and pixel compensation technology, extending screen lifespan by over two times. The X100s has a flat display, while the X100s Pro retains the curved display.

In terms of design, both models are slightly thicker and heavier, allowing for larger batteries. The X100s Pro has a 5,400mAh battery, while the X100s features a 5,100mAh battery, both supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Despite the increased battery capacity, the X100s is thinner at 7.8mm compared to both the original X100 (8.5mm) and the X100s Pro. It weighs 203g, the same as the X100s Pro.

The X100s Pro is equipped with the Vivo V3 imaging chip and a large 1/0.98-inch main sensor (IMX989) with an f/1.75 lens and OIS.
