Motorola is on the cusp of unveiling its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Razr 50 Ultra.

Known as the Razr+ 2024 in the US market, this iteration promises a refined foldable experience with upgraded features.

      Leaked specifications

A leak from Smartprix has shed light on the Razr 50 Ultra's expected specifications.

The phone is rumored to sport a large 6.9-inch pOLED foldable display with a crisp 1080x2640 resolution, offering an immersive viewing experience when unfolded.

For quick checks and notifications, a separate 3.6-inch cover display is also expected.

Under the hood, the Razr 50 Ultra is said to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

This powerful processor is likely to be complemented by a minimum of 12GB of RAM, with a possible 512GB storage option catering to users with extensive storage needs.

The camera department of the Razr 50 Ultra appears promising on paper. Leaks suggest a dual-camera system on the rear, featuring a primary 50MP wide sensor and a secondary 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.

On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is expected to handle video calls and capturing self-portraits.

The Razr 50 Ultra is also rumored to boast a decent 4,000mAh battery, potentially offering a full day's worth of usage on a single charge.

The phone is expected to run the latest Android 14 operating system, offering a fresh user experience and potentially receiving several years of security updates.

Additionally, the Razr 50 Ultra is said to be IPX8 certified for water resistance, providing some peace of mind against accidental spills.

      Price rumours

Pricing rumors suggest a starting price of $999 for the US market, mirroring the launch price of its predecessor, the Razr 40 Ultra.

However, the Razr+ 2024 (US version) is expected to offer 4GB more RAM for the same price point, potentially providing a better value proposition.
