Samsung Rings in Record Festive Sales with Premium Phones, AI TVs & Appliances

Samsung’s Diwali arrived early and it brought a record-breaking shopping cart with it. India’s largest consumer electronics brand has posted its biggest-ever Navratri sales across three key categories: premium smartphones, televisions, and home appliances.

The company attributes the bumper performance to a mix of improved consumer sentiment, festive offers, and GST rate cuts on TVs and air conditioners.

Galaxy AI takes centre stage

At the heart of Samsung’s smartphone success story is its AI-powered flagship lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy S25 series, and the Galaxy S24 range. Powered by Galaxy AI, these phones promise a more intuitive and personalised experience for users – from smart photography to seamless multitasking.

During this festive period (Navratri-Dussehra), Samsung saw a 40% year-on-year jump in sales of premium smartphones which cost ₹30,000 and above.

“Sales jumped 1.4x over last year. We believe this momentum will carry forward into Diwali,” a Samsung India spokesperson said, noting the popularity of Galaxy S24 Ultra and S24 FE, both of which were part of attractive festive deals starting September 22.

AI TVs see 2x sales boost after GST cuts

The Vision AI-powered Neo QLED and OLED televisions saw a 100% surge in sales compared to last year, boosted by GST rate cuts on TVs larger than 32 inches. With more consumers now opting for smarter, bigger screens for their living rooms, Samsung's AI TV range proved to be the top choice.

Samsung’s Vision AI claims to transform regular screens into intelligent, context-aware companions, enhancing how viewers interact with content, devices, and even their homes.

Appliances segment surges too

From fridges and washing machines to air conditioners, Samsung’s home appliances sales grew 30% during Navratri, backed by GST relief, cashback offers, easy financing, and extended warranties.

Interestingly, air conditioner sales saw a special boost, thanks to their improved energy-saving capabilities, longer warranties, and reduced tax burden.

Samsung says its Bespoke AI range of appliances, built around being easy to use, energy-efficient, secure, & personalised, played a major role in attracting festive-season buyers.

With Diwali around the corner, the electronics giant expects this AI-fuelled growth streak to continue.
