Samsung Galaxy S24: Colours leaked, design expected, Snapdragon and Exynos versions confirmed

The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series reveals six colours, a unique golden version for the Ultra model, and dual chipsets confirmed by Qualcomm's CEO.

Samsung Galaxy S24: Colours leaked, design expected, Snapdragon and Exynos versions confirmed

Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24, is expected to be released early next year. While there is no official confirmation yet, several rumours and leaks have surfaced, providing some insights into the device's colours, design, and chipset options.

Expected Colours and Design of Samsung Galaxy S24

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is expected to be available in six different colours: Black, Gray, Violet, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Orange, as per information provided by a tipster named Ice Universe.

Traditionally, Samsung has had a habit of offering two or three special colours for the more premium model, which in this case would be the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

This tradition is likely to continue with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra expected to have a unique golden version with a golden middle frame.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is also expected to have a symmetrical black bezel with a smaller and slightly lowered punch-hole, making it different from its predecessors.

Samsung Galaxy S24: Snapdragon and Exynos Versions

On the technical side of things, the CEO of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will feature both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets, as reported by a South Korean publication named The Elec.

This confirmation was given during the announcement of Qualcomm's Q4 earnings. The report also highlighted that only the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, no matter the region.

This means that the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24+ will be launched with either Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets depending on the region, but the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will solely be available with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Looking back, Samsung has alternated between Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets for its flagship series in the past. However, the Galaxy S23 series only had the Snapdragon version due to some overheating issues experienced with the Exynos chipset.

Now, with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is bringing back the option of both chipsets. This dual chipset offering is something that has been done before and is being brought back in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which is expected to be launched early next year.

Wrap Up

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is shaping up to be a promising flagship smartphone. With its rumoured six-colour options, updated design, and Snapdragon and Exynos chipset options, the Galaxy S24 is sure to appeal to a wide range of consumers.
