Samsung Galaxy S24+ Benchmark Scores Leaked: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 144Hz Display, and 200MP Camera Tipped

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus: Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at its Unpacked event, along with a range of other smart products.

However, the company now shifts its focus towards launching new models in its Galaxy A-series, M-series, and F-series phones for the remainder of the year. The highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series, consisting of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, is expected to hit the market in Q1 2024.

While the launch of Samsung's flagship smartphone is months away, the US variant of the Galaxy S24+ has already made an appearance on Geekbench, unveiling some key specifications.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Specifications and Features

According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ bears the model number SM-S926U and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed "pineapple."

This chipset features an Adreno 750 GPU, offering a noticeable upgrade over the Adreno 740 GPU found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is highly likely that the Galaxy S24+ will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Performance Details

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC boasts a cluster setup featuring a prime core clocked at 3.30GHz, three cores clocked at 3.15GHz, and two additional cores clocked at 2.96GHz.

The lower-clocked cores operate at a speed of 2.27GHz. With this configuration, the Galaxy S24+ aims to deliver powerful and efficient performance.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus RAM and Software

In addition to the SoC details, the Geekbench listing also reveals that the variant of the Galaxy S24+ tested had 8GB of RAM. However, it is expected that Samsung will release the phone with 12GB of RAM and a minimum of 256GB of internal storage.

As for the software, the device was spotted running the latest Android 14 update, and it is anticipated to have the upcoming One UI 6 layered on top of Android.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Performance Test Results

During the Geekbench 6 test, the Galaxy S24+ achieved scores of 2223 in the single-core test and 6661 in the multi-core test, showcasing its robust performance capabilities to handle multitasking and demanding applications.

The Possibility of Exynos SoCs and Regional Variants

Recent reports suggest that Samsung might introduce its Exynos SoCs in the Galaxy S24 series, likely featuring the Exynos 2400 SoC in select regions.

However, there is no confirmation yet on whether the Indian variant will receive a Snapdragon-powered model or one utilising the Exynos chipset. More details regarding this information will be shared as they become available.
