Redmi Pad Pro Indian variant spotted on Google Play Console

Redmi could soon add a new tablet to its lineup in India. The Redmi Pad Pro is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and will feature a large 10,000mAh battery.

Redmi Pad Pro Indian variant spotted on Google Play Console

The global variant of the Redmi Pad Pro was initially spotted on the Google Play Console database.

Now, listings for the Indian and Latin American versions have also appeared, indicating a broader global launch strategy.

The Google Play Console listings for the Indian and Latin American variants showcase specifications identical to the Chinese model.

However, a key difference exists in the Indian listing. The Indian variant, bearing the model number 24074RD2I, is listed under the marketing name "Redmi Pad Pro 5G."

This suggests that the Indian market will receive a version of the tablet with 5G connectivity support.

In contrast, the Latin American variant (model number 2405CRPFDL) lacks any mention of 5G in its moniker.

It's important to note that the Chinese edition of the Redmi Pad Pro currently does not offer a cellular variant, powered solely by Wi-Fi. While a future 5G version for China remains a possibility, the Indian market seems confirmed to receive the 5G variant.

Possible Poco Pad rebrand

Some reports suggest that the Redmi Pad Pro might be rebranded as the Poco Pad tablet in a few global markets. Whether this includes India or not is something only time will tell.

Redmi Pad Pro specifications

The Redmi Pad Pro features a big 12.1-inch IPS LCD display with a 2.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and comes in configurations with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

It boasts a long-lasting 10,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The camera setup includes an 8MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera with an LED flash.

The Redmi Pad Pro runs on HyperOS, a custom user interface based on Android 14.
