OnePlus Open: Anushka Sharma unintentionally reveals the upcoming foldable phone

Anushka Sharma, a prominent Bollywood actress, has inadvertently unveiled OnePlus' upcoming foldable phone in a video that has since gone viral.

This revelation has sparked considerable excitement in tech circles, as OnePlus had been keeping the device's details under wraps.

The Mysterious OnePlus Open

Rumors had been circulating about OnePlus' venture into foldable phones, and now, thanks to a video shared by Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani, it appears those rumors have some substance.

In the video, Anushka Sharma can be seen using a unique phone in a public setting.

Tech Experts' Sharp Eyes on Twitter

Eagle-eyed tech experts on Twitter quickly identified the phone as the OnePlus Open.

The device was confirmed by tipster Onleaks, known for accurate tech leaks. The video provides a clear view of the phone, showcasing its distinct design elements.

OnePlus Open Specifications (Rumoured)

The OnePlus Open stands out due to its prominent camera array, a hallmark of OnePlus design.

While it could be mistaken for another OnePlus phone, the video shows Sharma opening the device, confirming that it is indeed the OnePlus foldable.

Rumored to be powered by Qualcomm's high-performance Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the OnePlus Open is expected to feature a generous 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED primary screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

Additionally, it's rumored to sport a versatile camera setup, including a 50-megapixel lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel periscope lens on its rear, possibly with a 3x optical zoom periscope lens.

Selfie enthusiasts can expect dual 32-megapixel front-facing cameras, according to leaks.

Design Clues from the Video

The video hints at the OnePlus Open's substantial size and showcases its unique folding mechanism.

Although previous rumors suggested a design similar to the Pixel Fold or Find N2, the video doesn't definitively confirm this.

OnePlus Open Launch Date

While the video provides a tantalizing glimpse of the OnePlus Open, its official release date remains unclear. However, a late October 2023 reveal is likely.
