The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones have begun receiving beta builds for OxygenOS 12, based on Android 12.

OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro begin receiving OxygenOS 12 beta builds

The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones have begun receiving beta builds for OxygenOS 12, based on Android 12.

The new upgrade will bring changes to system look and feel, with new icons and options for dark mode. The OnePlus Shelf, Work life Balance Mode, and Gallery app also get new features.

The builds are currently not available for an OTA auto-update, and have to be flashed manually. There are many acknowledged issues, as with any beta, so most users are advised to wait for the official rollout.

OxygenOS 12 will be available for all mainline OnePlus phones down to the OnePlus 7, and the Nord 1, Nord 2, and Nord CE.
