Nothing Ear (3) may launch on April 18; Two smartphones also expected

UK tech company Nothing has something new coming April 18th. Expect a possible audio device launch and details on two upcoming smartphones, including a potential community-designed edition.

Nothing Ear (3) may launch on April 18; Two smartphones also expected

Nothing, a consumer technology company from the UK, has announced an update for its community set to take place on April 18. While the company has not disclosed the specifics of the product to be revealed, promotional teasers suggest it might introduce a new audio device, likely the Nothing Ear 3 wireless earbuds.

Nothing Ear 3 Anticipation

Nothing's recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, featured an intriguing image of a beetle and a frog with the caption "Play Date." This teaser, hinting at more to be revealed in the upcoming community update, follows Nothing's tradition of using insect images in their marketing campaigns.

Previously, a beetle image teased the launch of Nothing Ear (2), and a ladybug image was used for Nothing Ear (1). This pattern leads to speculation that the announcement on April 18 could very well be about the Nothing Ear 3 earbuds.

Upcoming Smartphones

The announcement planned for April 18 is expected to precede the launch of two new smartphones. According to 9To5Google, these devices, not including the already released Nothing Phone (2a), are internally referred to as PacmanPro and Tetris. Given that the Nothing Phone (2a) was codenamed Pacman before its release, it's likely that PacmanPro represents a superior version of this model.

This speculation aligns with Nothing's earlier initiative, “The Community Edition Project,” which aimed to involve the community in designing a Nothing Phone (2a) community edition. It's plausible that the PacmanPro could be this special edition.

On the other hand, "Tetris" is rumoured to be the company's next flagship device, potentially the Nothing Phone (3), anticipated for its advanced specifications.

Nothing Ear 3 Release Date and Future Releases (Expected)

Nothing's strategy of releasing teasers has effectively built anticipation for the Nothing Ear 3 release date. This approach not only keeps the community engaged but also sets the stage for future consumer technology releases under the Nothing brand.

The upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) community edition and the flagship Nothing Phone (3), with its highly anticipated specifications, are eagerly awaited by tech enthusiasts around the globe.
