Motorola's new foldable phone, the Razr 50 Ultra, appears to be nearing its official launch.

Recent developments, including leaked images and certifications, suggest the successor to the Razr 40 Ultra is in the final stages of development.

Leaked image hints at familiar design

A leaked live image, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (via 91Mobiles), offers a glimpse of the Razr 50 Ultra's design.

While the image originates from a certification process, it provides valuable insights into the phone's aesthetics. Notably, the design appears strikingly similar to the Razr 40 Ultra.

The leaked image showcases a horizontal dual-camera setup on the rear panel, echoing the design of its predecessor. Additionally, the iconic Razr branding and a central folding hinge are evident.

      Specifications and availability

Although the leaked image sheds light on the phone's design language, details regarding its hardware specifications remain scarce.

However, sources speculate that the Razr 50 Ultra might boast a flagship-grade configuration, surpassing its predecessor in terms of performance.

In terms of storage, rumours suggest a possible 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option. Additionally, the phone might be available in a range of vibrant colours, including Blue, Orange, and Green.

The Razr 50 Ultra has already received certifications from BIS (India) and EEC platforms.

Interestingly, the model number on the BIS listing (XT-24510-3) differs from the one spotted on the EEC platform (XT2453-1). This discrepancy could potentially indicate regional variations or storage model differences.

The presence of BIS certification suggests a high likelihood of an Indian launch for the Razr 50 Ultra at some point in the future. However, a specific launch date remains undisclosed.
