Motorola has launched the Moto Edge X30 flagship smartphone, making it the first phone to launch with Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

      Motorola has launched the Moto Edge X30 flagship smartphone, making it the first phone to launch with Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company has also launched the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition, which carries the same specifications, apart from an under-display selfie camera.

      Moto Edge X30 specs

      The Moto Edge X30 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

      For optics, the Moto Edge X30 has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor lens. On the front is a 60MP selfie camera. On the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition has the same sensor on the front, but it can be completely hidden under the display’s pixels, making for an under-display camera.

      Motorola has packed the Moto Edge X30 with a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.

      Moto Edge X30 price and availability

      In China, the Moto Edge X30 starts at around ₹38,000 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the Moto Edge X30 Special Edition is priced at around ₹47,600 for the 12GB + 256GB model. Motorola has not announced any plans pricing or availability of the smartphones outside of China yet, including in India. Earlier rumours have indicated that the Moto Edge X30 may launch in India as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra.
