The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro is touted to be India’s most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone.

But, let that not distract you from its camera prowess, because this smartphone has a lot of surprises up its sleeve.

It shifts from a traditional camera island to dual integrated cameras at the back.

It looks pretty neat I must say. But, more importantly, there is no 2MP macro sensor this time around.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide.

The main camera is a Sony IMX 920 sensor, which is the same sensor found on the flagship Vivo X100. So you know iQOO is taking cameras quite seriously on this thing.

Other than that, the three camera colour profiles: Vivid, Textured, and Natural from top-end iQOO and Vivo smartphones are also present here.

Please watch the video for camera samples.

My initial impressions of this main camera are incredibly positive. The photos have a contrasty look to them, which might very well be best in the segment.

The shots I took in various lighting conditions are very impressive, and I’m looking forward to testing out this camera more.

This sensor can shoot 8K videos, which is quite mind boggling for an upper midrange smartphone.

The 8MP ultrawide also appears to be good enough for outdoor use. But it definitely lacks the punch above its weight character of the main sensor.

So, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro promises stellar camera and gaming performance for the price.

It launches on February 22, 2024, so stay tuned to Editorji for our full review, and I shall see you there!
