Honor 200 First Impressions & Unboxing: Portrait Master with Stunning Display? Check features, and price

The Honor 200 has been launched in India as "The Portrait Master," featuring a impressive design and camera setup. Available at a starting price of Rs 34,999 here's more from our first impression of the Honor 200 5G.

Honor 200 First Impressions & Unboxing: Portrait Master with Stunning Display? Check features, and price

The Honor 200 has been launched in India, marketed as "The Portrait Master." The initial unboxing reveals a promising device, featuring an intriguing oval-shaped camera island. Here’s more in our detailed first impression of the Honor 200 5G.

Honor 200 5G: Unboxing

Inside the box, users will find the Honor 200 phone, a SIM ejector tool, a plastic cover, and the standard guides and manuals. However, the package includes a USB A to C cable but lacks a charger, which is a notable omission.

Honor 200 5G: Design

The unit I reviewed came in a matte finish with a marbled pattern, named Moonlight White. The silky texture, combined with a quad-curved display, ensures the device is both secure and comfortable to hold. The Honor 200 design is visually appealing and ergonomic.

Honor 200 5G: Display

The Honor 200 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. The dynamic refresh rate reaches up to 120Hz, and the display offers a peak brightness of 4000 nits. The colors are vivid and accurate, providing sharp visuals. The Honor 200 specifications for the display suggest it is more than decent.

Honor 200 5G: Performance

The top variant of the Honor 200 that I checked out includes 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. While not the latest, this chipset is known to be quite capable of handling multitasking and light gaming. The device also comes with an Adreno 720 GPU. The Honor 200 processors should suffice for most tasks, although further testing is needed.

Honor 200 5G: Cameras

The Honor 200 camera setup definitely seems to be quite impressive. The main camera features a 50MP ultra-large sensor with OIS. The Honor 200 also includes a 50MP telephoto camera with a 2.5X optical zoom and OIS. Additionally, there is a 12MP ultra-wide camera. A partnership with Harcourt introduces studio-level photography through the Professional Portrait Photography mode and Honor AI Portrait Engine. The front camera also boasts a 50MP sensor, adding to the overall high-quality camera setup.

Honor 200 5G: Battery

The Honor 200 houses a massive 5200mAh battery. While the device supports 100W SuperCharge, the compatible charger must be purchased separately. This large battery should provide ample power for extended use.

Honor 200 5G: Price and First Impression

The Honor 200 5G price in India starts at ₹34,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+512GB variant is priced at ₹39,999.

While the slightly older processor and lack of charger might be a bit disappointing for the price range, the our first impression of the Honor 200 suggests a device with strong potential, particularly in its camera capabilities and display quality.
