HMD Global has officially rebranded the Nokia XR21 as the HMD XR21. This announcement marks a significant shift as HMD Global emphasizes local European production and enhanced security features. Readers can expect detailed information on the HMD XR21's specifications, production details, and pricing.

Nokia XR21 Rebranded to HMD XR21: Details of the Latest Update

According to the official announcement, the HMD XR21 retains the design and specifications of the Nokia XR21, with the primary change being the branding. This move reflects HMD Global's strategy to establish its own brand identity. The HMD XR21 is built to cater to users needing a durable and reliable rugged smartphone.

HMD XR21: Key Features and Specifications

The HMD XR21 features a 6.49-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This combination ensures robust performance for various tasks.

The rugged smartphone boasts an IP69K certification, the highest rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, it meets MIL-STD-810H military standards, confirming its durability under extreme conditions. The HMD XR21's camera setup includes a 64MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens, while the front camera is a 16MP shooter. The device is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Running on Android 13, the HMD XR21 comes with a promise of two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. This ensures users have access to the latest features and security enhancements.

HMD XR21: Production and Availability

As reported by various sources, including official announcements, HMD Global has commenced the production of the HMD XR21 in Europe, specifically in Hungary. This move aligns with the company's commitment to European production and sustainability, with the device being constructed from 100% recycled aluminum.

The HMD XR21 is available in a single Midnight Black color. Additionally, a limited edition Frosted Platinum color has been produced, with only 50 units available, 30 of which can be purchased online. This limited edition highlights the company's focus on offering exclusive and unique products.

HMD XR21: Expected Price in India

According to the latest reports, the HMD XR21 is priced at €600 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The device is currently available in various European markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Finland. Although the exact pricing for the Indian market is yet to be confirmed, the expected price is around Rs. 54,215, based on the current exchange rates.
