Google's latest Google update to its Messages app brings an exciting new feature called Photomoji. This innovative addition, currently in beta, allows users to create their own emoji reactions using personal images, enhancing the way they communicate in chats.

      What is Photomoji?

Photomoji in Google Messages is a new feature that lets users create custom emoji. You can take a photo of yourself, your pet, or any object to express your reaction to a message. This means your responses in chats can be unique and more personal.

Expressing Emotions in a New Way

This custom emoji app feature within Google Messages lets users express emotions with greater authenticity. Unlike standard emojis, Photomoji uses real-life images, allowing for a wider range of expressions and a more personal touch in digital conversations.

      Compatibility with RCS Chat

An important aspect of Photomoji is that it works with RCS chat support. RCS, or Rich Communication Services, is a type of chat that has more features than regular SMS. However, there are some Photomoji limitations; it currently works only with RCS chats. Users should check if their Google Messages app supports RCS chat to use Photomoji.

How to Create and Send Photomoji

Creating a Photomoji is simple. Choose a photo from your gallery or take a new one, crop it, and turn it into a custom emoji. To send a Photomoji, open a chat in Google Messages, go to the emoji section, and select your Photomoji.

      Receiving and Viewing Photomoji

When someone sends you a Photomoji, it shows up as a small image in the chat. You can tap on it to see the full photo and the emoji it represents. This adds a fun and personal element to the chat, both for the sender and receiver.

Wrap Up: A Step Forward in Messaging

Photomoji in Google Messages marks a significant development in digital communication. It's more than an emoji; it's a way to add a personal touch to messages. As Photomoji moves out of its beta phase and becomes more widely available, it's expected to change how we communicate in the digital world.
