'The Matrix' director Lilly Wachowski has confirmed that Keanu Reeves starter much-loved trilogy is a trans-story.

Speaking about the long-running theory that the film embodies the experience of a closeted trans-person, Lilly said she is glad that it has gotten out as that was her and sister Lana's original intention.

The director added that she never spoke about it as the corporate world wasn’t quite ready for it.
