Delhi doctors march in support of colleagues protesting in MP

Resident doctors of All India Institute of Medical Science and Safdarjung hospital in Delhi have come out in support of the doctors protesting in Madhya Pradesh

Doctors from the two hospitals on Sunday evening took to the streets and held a candlelight vigil. "We are enraged to learn about the atrocities and callousness of the government of Madhya Pradesh," said representatives of the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) in a statement.

"Our healthcare system is anyways in shambles and any further reduction in manpower will affect it adversely," the doctors added.

Some 3,000 junior doctors in six medical colleges across MP have been protesting for a week for a stipend hike as well as free Covid-19 treatment for them and their kin.
