We will make Madhya Pradesh an industrially and employment-rich state: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday laid the foundation stone for six new industrial units worth ₹416 crore at the Acharpura Industrial Area near Bhopal.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Our industries and factories are like temples, as they alleviate people’s hardships.” He emphasised that an extensive industrial network is rapidly expanding in Madhya Pradesh, ensuring that youth no longer need to migrate for jobs.

He added that the launch of new industries would accelerate the state’s prosperity and said the government would provide an incentive of ₹5,000 to encourage youth participation in employment-oriented industries. “We will make Madhya Pradesh an industrially and employment-rich state and soon it will become the number one state in the country,” he affirmed.

Dr. Yadav also announced the development of Acharpura as a special industrial hub and laid the foundation for Phase-3 of its extension in Village Hajjampur, to be developed over 31.21 hectares. Highlighting the growing investor interest, he noted that reputed global industrialists are now coming to Madhya Pradesh to set up ventures. Acknowledging the presence of entrepreneurs from all generations, from Shri Prabhat Singh of Gokaldas Exports Pvt. Ltd. to young leaders like Shri Aditya Sharma of Sinai Healthcare and Shri Raunak Chaudhary of Acedes Pvt. Ltd., he remarked, “Acharpura has transformed. It’s the monsoon season and industries are showering here like rain.”

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for fostering an environment conducive to industrial and commercial growth, adding, “In Madhya Pradesh, there’s no age limit to start a business – doors are open for everyone.” Dr. Yadav highlighted that jackets made in Acharpura are now being exported to the U.S. and other countries, and noted, “Even a country like China is selling our cotton. The quality of Madhya Pradesh cotton is world-renowned.”

Underscoring the role of industry in solving people’s problems, he reiterated that factories are “temples of hard work,” built on investment and youth effort. He mentioned that the state has conducted Road Shows across Indian cities and abroad, including in the UK, Dubai, Spain, Germany, and Japan, to attract investment, the results of which were evident in Thursday’s land allotment letters and groundbreaking ceremonies.

Highlighting economic progress, he said, “Twenty years ago, Madhya Pradesh’s per capita income was ₹11,000 – today it has reached ₹1.52 lakh.” He added that India has moved from the 15th position in the global economy in 2014 and is now on track to reach the third. Irrigation capacity, he informed, has increased to 55 lakh hectares, with plans to expand it to 100 lakh hectares.

He also announced that after Diwali, all eligible beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana would receive ₹1,500 per month, and the amount would gradually increase to ₹3,000 by 2028. A special amount will also be distributed to women during the Sawan festival. In a move to improve local security, he said a police outpost would become operational in Acharpura within a week and directed the IG present to deploy female officers.

During the visit, Dr. Yadav toured the Gokaldas Garment Unit in Acharpura and interacted with women workers to boost their morale.

MSME Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap praised Dr. Yadav’s leadership for driving industrial growth and employment generation in the state. He said around 2,500 women are currently employed at Gokaldas Exports Pvt. Ltd., and young industrialists are increasingly choosing Madhya Pradesh to establish their ventures.

MLA Bairasia Shri Vishnu Khatri credited the Chief Minister’s efforts for turning Acharpura and nearby areas into active industrial zones. He said an industrial development plan is being implemented across 280 hectares under the MSME sector to ensure that every household in Berasia becomes part of the growth journey.

Principal Secretary for Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion, Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, said Acharpura Industrial Area has evolved into a vibrant and ideal industrial hub. He noted that more than 100 industrial units now operate there, providing direct employment to over 4,000 people. The upcoming industrial park in Hajjampur Phase-3, being developed at a cost of ₹15.61 crore, will further boost multi-sector investment.

Shri Prabhat Singh, Director of Gokaldas Exports Pvt. Ltd., said the company runs 36 units across India and one in Kenya, with 2,500 women currently employed at the Acharpura unit. A second unit is planned, expected to generate jobs for another 2,500 women. He cited the state’s investor-friendly environment and policies as key reasons behind their expansion, and said he aims to make Acharpura a model of women's empowerment and industrial production.

Shri Aditya Sharma, Director of Sinai Healthcare, appreciated the transparency and speed of the single-window clearance system, and said his company would invest ₹120 crore in Acharpura to serve both domestic and international markets.

Shri Raunak Chaudhary, Director of Acedes Pvt. Ltd., explained that although their company is registered in Gurugram, they chose Acharpura due to its central location, proximity to the airport, and strong road connectivity. He thanked the government for the facilities and support provided to entrepreneurs.
