Apple has launched a program for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro buyers, after some users complained of no sound coming from the earpiece during phone calls.

Apple has launched a program for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro buyers, after some users complained of no sound coming from the earpiece during phone calls.

The tech giant said that a "small percentage" of iPhone 12 users had reported the trouble, that was caused by a component on the receiver module that might fail.

Apple further said that affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021. If a users iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver when they make or receive calls, Apple says they could be eligible for service.

Faulty devices will be serviced free of charge from Apple and Apple Authorised Service Providers.
