Samsung Odyssey 3D Monitor First Impressions: Check price, features & more

Samsung’s Odyssey 3D G90XF is a 27-inch 4K monitor that brings 2D content to life in 3D with no glasses required, using eye-tracking and AI. With a 165Hz refresh rate, it's set to revolutionize gaming and video experiences. Priced at $1,700.

Samsung Odyssey 3D Monitor First Impressions: Check price, features & more

Samsung just dropped what might be its most insane monitor ever — meet the Odyssey 3D G90XF, a 27-inch, 4K display that doesn’t just push pixels, it literally brings them to life in 3D. And the best part? No glasses required.

3D gaming, no glasses, no gimmicks

At first glance, it’s already impressive — a 4K panel, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and AMD FreeSync support make it a top-tier gaming monitor. But the real magic lies in what Samsung calls Reality Hub — an eye-tracking and AI-powered system that turns regular 2D games and videos into full-blown 3D experiences.

Yes, seriously. It maps your eye movements in real time and adjusts the visuals accordingly, so depth perception kicks in naturally, without needing to slap on any 3D glasses. The result? Games and content that actually feel like they’re jumping off the screen.

AI video conversion + game collabs incoming

The Reality Hub software doesn’t just stop at games — it can convert standard video content into 3D, too. Think YouTube, movies, or even your own recordings. That said, DRM-protected or HDR videos aren’t supported, so don’t expect Netflix in 3D just yet.

Samsung says you’ll need at least an NVIDIA RTX 3080 to run it smoothly, and the Reality Hub driver has to be installed. But if your rig’s ready, this monitor is the closest thing to sci-fi display tech you can buy today.

Samsung’s also teaming up with game developers to optimise experiences for this tech, including Nexon’s The First Berserker: Khazan, with more titles likely to follow.

Premium tech, premium price tag

All this next-gen eye candy doesn’t come cheap. In the US, the Odyssey 3D is available for pre-order at $1,700, while in India, it’s priced at ₹1,27,299. Yeah, definitely a flex — but for those chasing the bleeding edge of gaming immersion, it might just be worth it.

With spatial audio, edge lighting, and Samsung’s best gaming display tech yet, the Odyssey 3D isn’t just a monitor — it’s a whole experience.

So, is this the future of gaming? Or just a very expensive way to flex on your Discord server? Either way, we’re intrigued.
