T20 World Cup: players who test positive for Covid-19 will be allowed to carry on playing

The ICC has adopted a relaxed approach towards Covid-19 as Cricket's governing body has allowed Covid-positive cricketers to take part in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022.

The ICC said that the players won't have to undergo mandatory Covid tests during the course of the mega event. Moreover, if a player tests positive for the virus during the tournament, he won't have to go through an isolation period.

If a player contracts Covid-19, then the team doctors will decide if it's appropriate for the player to take part in the game.

The teams can also bring in changes to their squad in case a player tests positive for the virus. Once he recovers, he can join back the squad and his teammates.
