The legendary Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter to take a cheeky dig at South Africa after they were knocked out of the T20 World Cup by the Netherlands.

The 49-year-old tweeted, 'Went for breakfast with a friend. Told him we'll go Dutch. He almost choked at the proposition!'

Master Blaster's tweet left the microblogging site divided with opinions as he indirectly labeled the South Africans as chokers. While a few were left disappointed, others saw the funny side of it.

South Africa was in contention of topping the group after their opening three games, but successive losses against Pakistan and Netherlands saw them crash out of the World Cup.

With South Africa getting knocked out, India assured themselves of a place in the semi-finals and the Bangladesh vs Pakistan match, which otherwise would have been a dead rubber, turned into a virtual knockout game.
