ICC announces warm-up fixtures for T20 World Cup 2024; Team India to have just 1 practice game

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday announced the warm-up fixtures for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. These matches are scheduled from 27 May to June 1 across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago.

The ICC in a release stated that the venues hosting the 16 warm-up matches ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 include Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

A total of 17 teams will play the warm-up games, including South Africa, who are playing an intra-squad on the 29th in Florida.

Since these T20 matches will not have international status, teams are allowed to field all members of their 15-player squad.

Interestingly, India has just one practice game and it's scheduled against Bangladesh on June 1, the last day of the warm-up matches.
