Wimbledon 2022: Ons Jabeur to face Elena Rybakina in women's singles final

Wimbledon will see a new champion in the women's singles event when Tunisia's Ons Jabeur takes on Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the final on Saturday.

The Tunisian is the first Arab woman to reach a major final and the first African woman to do so in the Open era. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Rybakina is the youngest player since 2015 to reach the Wimbledon final.

The third-seed Jabeur defeated Tatjana Maria 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in the first semi-final while 17th-seed Rybakina overcame 2019 Wimbledon champion Simona Halep in the second semi-final. Rybakina strolled past Halep with an easy 6-3, 6-3 win.

Fans can expect a high-octane match in the final given Rybakina is known for her brute power while Jabeur uses drop shots to good effect.
