After his successful cricket debut, Nitish Kumar Reddy visited the Tirupati temple to express his devotion, climbing the temple stairs on his knees.

Nitish Kumar Reddy's stellar debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy may have come amid a tough series for Team India, but it shone through as one of the brightest highlights.

Despite the series loss, Reddy impressed with a brilliant century in the fourth Test at Melbourne, earning praise from cricket greats like Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar.

Following the conclusion of the series, Reddy visited the holy Tirupati temple to express his devotion. He shared a video on Instagram, showing himself climbing the temple stairs on his knees as an act of respect and faith.

Back home in Visakhapatnam, Reddy received a hero's welcome at the airport, where excited fans showered him with yellow petals and draped him in a large garland. The celebrations continued as he traveled through the city in an open jeep, accompanied by his family and surrounded by well-wishers.

Reddy’s performance during the series was exceptional, with 298 runs at an average of 37.25, making him India's second-highest scorer.

His standout moment was his maiden Test century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, witnessed by his family. With the ball, he also picked up five wickets, further showcasing his all-round abilities.
