In their IPL 2024 encounter at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, was having fun on the pitch with his close friend Dinesh Karthik. After being invited to bat first, the Bengaluru-based team completed their innings with 196/8 in the 20 overs that were allowed.

The wicketkeeper-batsman hammered an unbeaten 53 runs off only 23 balls to help RCB conclude their innings emphatically. Five fours and four sixes littered his knock.

Former MI captain Rohit Sharma decided to have some fun after witnessing Karthik provide another outstanding finishing performance. Using the stump mic, Rohit was heard making fun of Karthik with a T20 World Cup joke.

"Shabash DK! T20 World Cup mein selection ke liye push karna hai isko. Dimagh mein chal raha hai iske World Cup", Rohit was caught saying on the stump mic to Karthik.

Talking about the game, Mumbai Indians were on 23 for no loss at the time of writing this report. Both MI and RCB are eyeing their second win in IPL 2024 tonight. While MI have managed to win just one of their first four games, RCB have emerged victorious only once in five games.
