Watch: MS Dhoni rides a bike in Ranchi after CSK crash out of IPL 2024

After finishing playing cricket, MS Dhoni is back to playing with his toys. MSD reached Ranchi after the Chennai Super Kings crashed out of IPL 2024 on Saturday night and was seen riding a bike.

In the video, which was captured by a fan, Dhoni can be seen taking the bike inside his house in his hometown.

Though he hasn't made it official, this season of the IPL was being labelled as Dhoni's last but fans are still hopeful of him playing 1 more season after CSK failed to make it to playoffs this time.

Reportedly, Dhoni played through continuous leg pain during IPL 2024, leading to him frequently batting in the lower order despite his high strike rate of over 200 runs.

As per a Times of India report, a source has disclosed that Dhoni has not informed anything in regards to his retirement plans to the CSK management. The source also disclosed that Dhoni informed the management that he would take the final call about his IPL future in the next couple of months.

The report indicates that Dhoni might also delay his decision depending on BCCI's position on the impact sub rule. The regulation will enable Dhoni to act as an additional batsman in the final two overs, during which he will not have to cover much ground on the field.

Other outside influences may affect Dhoni's choice. An upcoming mega auction for the next IPL season will require teams to retain a specific number of players, forcing CSK to make difficult decisions.
