IPL 2022, Match 47, KKR vs RR preview: Make or break for Knight Riders as they take on Rajasthan

IPL 2022: Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) have now lost 5-consecutive matches in IPL 2022 and would look to come on the winning track when they take on a high-on-confidence Rajasthan Royals(RR) for the second time this season on Monday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rajasthan dominated Kolkata in their previous meeting in ongoing IPL season.

Kolkata Knight Riders have won just 3 in 9 matches and are placed 8th in the points table. Shreyas Iyer-led side started the season quite well but has been looking off-track for the past few matches. While Shreyas Iyer has been batting decently well, Russell has been occasionally good. The franchise's decision to sit out Pat Cummins after a few bad matches has failed to give any positive result. The side looked clumsy with Venkatesh Iyer's batting position and it could affect the team's performance in the next match as well.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have won 6 out of 9 matches and are currently placed 2nd in the points table. Sanju Samson's Rajasthan have lost their previous match but it will not concern the team as the side still looked well balanced. While Jos Buttler has been consistently scoring runs, Ravichandran Ashwin has been giving the finishing touch. Yuzvendra Chahal, who is also the player with most wickets in IPL 2022, would look to continue his good form against KKR.
