Earlier, Indian batters failed to impress as the Men in Blue were bowled out for 219, with their top score of 51 coming from number 7 batter Washington Sundar.
In reply, New Zealand had a strong start and lost their 1st wicket after openers put on 97 runs on the board. They were 104/1 in 18 overs when the covers came on and didn't let any play happen post that.

All-rounder Cameron Green, who underwent surgery on his right hand's index finger, was also seen rolling his arm over but he's unlikely to play the first Test as he didn't face the fast bowlers in the nets.

With less than 48 hours to go for the first Test, vice-captain KL Rahul refused to spill the beans on India's Playing XI.

&nbsp;"We still haven't decided on the final playing XI. It's going to be a really tough decision. There are guys who have performed exceedingly well and there are a few spots open. There are a few discussions going on," - That's what Indian vice-captain KL Rahul said when he was asked whether Shubman Gill will play in the middle-order in the first Test.
With less than 48 hours to go for the Nagpur match, India remain tight-lipped about their playing combination.
When asked whether the pitch that Steve Smith described as 'pretty dry' will see India go in with 3 spinners, Rahul said there will be a temptation to play 3 spinners but they'll have to wait for the first day of the match to see how the wicket looks and then decide on their XI.
The 30-year-old also said that he is "ready to bat in the middle-order if the team wants."
