A video of the Afghanistan cricketer is going viral where he can be seen quietly keeping money next to people sleeping on footpath so they could celebrate Diwali.

Gurbaz then left the spot without anyone knowing but a passerby shot the video and later uploaded it on social media.

The heartwarming gesture soon gathered praise as fans hailed the Afghan opening batter for his deed.

Afghanistan might have failed to qualify for the ODI World Cup semifinals but they had a memorable campaign. They finished 6th with 4 wins in 9 matches and beat England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands.
