Ronaldo vs Messi reunion off! Cristiano Ronaldo ruled out of Al Nassr vs Inter Miami clash

The much anticipated Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi reunion is not happening.

Al Nassr head coach Luis Castro confirmed on Wednesday that the Saudi Pro League side's star forward Ronaldo will not be available for their club friendly clash with Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami.

“Cristiano is in the final stage of his recuperation before re-joining the team. We expect that in the next few days he will start working with the team. So, obviously, it will mean he is absent for the game (against Inter Miami),” Castro said at a news conference.

Thus denying the watching world another contest between the Portugal international and his long-term rival, Argentina's iconic Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo is recovering from a reported calf injury and will not be fit in time to play in the exhibition match between Al-Nassr and Inter Miami in Riya on Thursday.
