The FIFA website does not indicate any such restriction saying that people are free to wear anything they want at the World Cup. However, it also said that the fans will have to keep in mind the strict laws of Qatar while visiting.

As the FIFA World Cup 2022 kicks off this Sunday, hosts Qatar have added yet another update for the visiting fans which has come as a shock for many.

The female fans coming to Qatar will have to dress appropriately while visiting the country as wearing tight or revealing clothes is prohibited in the nation and will eventually be seen as a punishable offense.

Meanwhile, the FIFA website does not indicate any such restriction saying that people are free to wear anything they want at the World Cup. However, it also said that the fans will have to keep in mind the strict laws of Qatar and are supposed to cover their shoulders and knees while visiting public places there.

"We have high-resolution special cameras to zoom in on a particular seat and clearly see the spectator. It’s being recorded, so that will help us in any post-event investigation." Chief technology officer of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar Niyas Abdulrahiman pointed out.
