Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is set to marry Lok Sabha MP Priya Saroj, with both families confirming the alliance. The wedding is planned for next year, though no ceremonies or engagement events have taken place yet.

Rinku Singh, 27, from Aligarh, has played two ODIs and 30 T20 Internationals for India. Currently preparing for the T20 series against England starting Wednesday, Rinku rose to fame during the 2023 IPL season when he smashed five consecutive sixes in a game-winning over against Gujarat Titans. His impressive performances earned him a spot on the national team and a standby role in India’s victorious ICC T20 World Cup campaign.

Priya Saroj, 26, is a lawyer-turned-politician who became an MP from Machhlishahr in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, defeating BJP’s B.P. Saroj by 35,000 votes. She hails from Varanasi and holds a law degree from Delhi. Priya’s father, Toofani Saroj, is a Samajwadi Party MLA and a former three-term MP.

“While the marriage is finalized, no dates for ceremonies have been decided as Priya is busy with parliamentary duties in Thiruvananthapuram, and Rinku is occupied with his cricket commitments,” Toofani Saroj said.

The wedding will mark the union of two accomplished individuals from diverse fields, bringing together the worlds of sports and politics.
