India women's team maintained their perfect record against Pakistan as they defeated their arch-rivals by 107 runs in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup in Mount Maunganui on Sunday.

Now, India has won all their 4 matches in the Women's cricket World Cup against Pakistan and at the same time all 11 games played against each other in Women's ODIs.

Pakistan's chase never kicked off as India put up a comprehensive bowling effort. After Rajeshwari Gaikwad provided the first breakthrough, the Indian spinners kept taking wickets at regular intervals.

Veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami too chipped in with her pinpoint line and length as Pakistan were bundled out for 137 runs.

Earlier, India lost their opener, Shafali Verma, for a duck but Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma stabilised the innings with a 94-run stand.

But an inspired bowling performance led by spinners Nashra Sandhu and Nida Dar trigged a massive collapse as India lost five wickets, adding only 18 runs.

However, the debutant Pooja Vastrakar played counter-attacking innings, scoring 67 runs off 59 balls, and stitched a 122-run stand with Sneh Rana. Thus steering the Indian side to a respectable 244-7.

Vastrakar was adjudged player of the match for her superb batting display.
