Watch! David Warner gets guard of honour from Pakistan in farewell Test | Australia vs Pakistan

As David Warner came out to bat in the 1st innings of his farewell Test vs Pakistan in Sydney, the visiting team players gave the Aussie opener a guard of honour.

His opening partner Usman Khawaja also hugged Warner as the heartwarming gesture by Pakistan gathered huge praise on social media.

The Sydney Test is Warner's last. The 37-year-old already announced his decision to retire from ODIs ahead of this Test match but was open to coming out of retirement for the Champions Trophy 2025 if need be.

After making his ODI debut back in 2009, the opening batter from New South Wales smashed 6932 runs in 161 ODIs. During this, he scored 22 hundreds and 33 fifties.

Batting first, Pakistan finished at 313, thanks to 88 by Mohammad Rizwan and a surprising 82 by their number 9 batter Aamer Jamal.
