After a superb show in South Africa T20Is, Dinesh Karthik made a massive jump of 108 spots to 87th position in the latest ICC T20I Rankings.
Karthik emerged as a prolific match-winner for India during the five-match series against the Proteas. The 37-year-old Tamil Nadu batter took India out of shambles in the Rajkot T20I and slammed his maiden T20I fifty after 16 years.

What comes a major setback for India's preparations for World T20, pacer Deepak Chahar revealed that he would take four-five more weeks to completely recover from the hamstring injury. 
Chahar is currently doing his rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy. 
While talking to news agency PTI after his rehab session, Chahar said that he is bowling four-five overs at one go as per his rehab programme and the recovery is going pretty well.

One of the biggest superstars of Indian cricket, MS Dhoni is all set to dive into the world of showbiz. According to reports, Thala Dhoni will turn producer for megastar Thalapathy Vijay's film.
It was announced in May itself that MSD was eyeing entering the Tamil film industry as a producer. According to News 18, Dhoni himself called up Vijay and asked him to star in his film. The actor, who is also doing 'Thalapathy 66' accepted the offer from the former Indian captain.
It may still not be official but MSD fans are already excited and have pinned their hopes on a Dhoni cameo in the film.
Dhoni, along with his wife Sakshi, had launched Dhoni Entertainment Private Limited in 2020 and the couple wants to establish themselves as leading producers in Kollywood.

The surge Indian Premier League is not going down well with Pakistan Cricket Board. PCB chief Ramiz Raja has decided to challenge the proposed two-and-a-half-month IPL window in future ICC meet. 
"We will challenge it in a very forceful manner and put our point across strongly in the ICC, " PCB chief said.

Earlier, BCCI honourary secretary Jay Shah said that the Indian board will be getting an extended window for the IPL in the ICC's next Future Tour and Programme (FTP) cycle starting from 2024 till 2031.
Notably, Indian Premier League became second biggest league in the sporting world after its media rights were sold for a whopping Rs 48,390 crore recently.

He also stated that if any development is taking place in world cricket, then it will affect them too.
Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had said that the IPL will get an extended window in the ICC's next Future Tours Programme (FTP) cycle starting from 2024 that runs till 2031.
Notably, the IPL recently became the second biggest league in the world after its media rights fetched a whopping Rs 48,390 crore for the next 5-year cycle.

After getting India's top job, Rohit had scores of 48, 55 and 56 against New Zealand in T20Is which is followed by scores of 40, 19, 7 against West Indies. In the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, he gave opportunities to young batters and pushed himself down the batting order.

In Tests, Rohit played a major role as well, scoring a blistering 127 runs in the second innings at The Oval, which helped India take 2-1 lead in the five-match series against England. 
In order to win their first Test series in England after 15 years, Team India will lock horns with Ben Stokes' side in the rescheduled fifth Test on July 1. 
Notably, the last match of the series was postponed in 2021 due to Covid-19 scare.
