Quinton de Kock refused to take part in South Africa's T20 World Cup 8 wicket win against West Indies on Tuesday citing 'personal reasons'.

Cricket South Africa is waiting for Quinton de Kock's explanation, who created an uproar in the cricketing world after he refused to take part in South Africa's 8 wicket win against West Indies on Tuesday. The former skipper stated 'personal reasons' for not playing in the World T20 match.

The 28-year-old cricketer immediately pulled out after CSA made it mandatory for the players to take a knee before the start of the match in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement. de Kock who hasn't commented on the issue yet has in the past too refused to take a knee citing 'personal opinion'.

Cricket South Africa, which has faced issues with the BLM movement since it emerged, said that de Kock was finalising on his statement and will release it as soon as possible. The board, however, confirmed that the top batter will remain a part of the team.
