T20 World Cup 2021: KL Rahul is enjoying MS Dhoni's calming presence in the dressing room

T20 World Cup 2021: Team India opener KL Rahul is absolutely enjoying having MS Dhoni in the dressing room once again. The former India captain is back in Team India's dugout as a mentor for the World Cup T20 and KL Rahul is already raving about the appointment. Rahul said, "We loved having him in the dressing room when he was the captain. We loved the calmness. We have all looked up to him to help us out, to have him here is amazing".

Rahul added that he is looking forward to picking MS Dhoni's brains about cricket, captaincy and other things. Dhoni who recently led Chennai Super Kings to a fourth IPL title was present in the dressing room as India beat England in their 1st warm up game on Tuesday.

Speaking about fitness and agility, KL Rahul confirmed that MS Dhoni despite being on the other side of 40 can give the youngsters a run for their money. Rahul said, "I think Dhoni can give any of us stiff competition, he definitely is a guy who can hit the ball farthest, he is very strong and he is good (while running) between the wickets. He looks the fittest, it is good fun to have him.
