T20 World Cup 2021: A brutal fifty each by KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan helped India make the most of their warm-up game against England as they won by 7 wickets

India vs England Full Highlights, T20 World Cup 2021: Team India practically ticked off most of their check boxes as they thrashed England by 7 wickets in the 1st warm-up game of ICC World Cup T20. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli asked England to bat first as Jasprit Bumrah and Buvneshwar Kumar opened the innings for India. While Bhuvi went for plenty, Bumrah still managed to control the flow of runs. There was no Hardik Pandya with the ball either in the warm-up game where the result was secondry.

Spinners Rahul Chahar and Ravichandran Ashwin tried to arrest the run flow but the real damage was done by Mohd Shami who ended up with 3 wickets. Johnny Bairstow and Moeen Ali scored 49 and 43* respectively as England ended with 188/5 on the board.

In reply, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul opened the innings for India after Rohit Sharma was rested and skipper Kohli announced that he will bat at number 3. Kishan adn Rahul were in murderous mood as they tonked the English bowlers to all corners of the park. KL Rahul continued with his good form and smashed a 24 ball 51 studded with 3 sixes & 6 fours. Kishan retired hurt after smashing 70 off 46 balls. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant guided the team home with a 14 ball 29* as India won the game by 7 wickets and an over to spare. They next play Australia in their last warm-up game on Wednesday.
