Rahul Dravid clears the air on India adopting split captaincy

Team India Head coach Rahul Dravid has denied that the Men in Blue have adopted split captaincy.

Speculations have been rife over the future of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli & KL Rahul in the shortest format. The India trio hasn’t played a T20 match for India since the semi-final defeat against England at the T20 World Cup.

In Rohit’s absence, Hardik Pandya has captained the Indian side and he will do so again in the 3 T20Is against New Zealand.

With Hardik now seen as the frontrunner to lead the team at the 2024 T20 World Cup, Rahul Dravid was asked the question of whether India have already adopted split captaincy.

Dravid replied, "Not that I am aware of. That’s a question you need to ask the selectors but as of now, I don’t think so.”
