Notably, the English batter has been in great form recently and slammed two centuries against the Kiwis in consecutive Tests. He made a match-winning 136 in the second Test followed by 162 and 71 not out in the third and final Test.

Team India survived a scare on Tuesday as they narrowly beat Ireland by 4 runs in the 2nd T20I in Dublin. With that, the Men in Blue whitewashed the hosts 2-0 in the series.

It seemed to be a huge ask for the Irish but they were up for the task. Skipper Andy Balbirnie set up the chase nicely with a 37-ball-60. In a severe blow for New Zealand, skipper Kane Williamson will miss the second Test match against England in Nottingham on Friday after testing positive for Covid-19.
Williamson experienced minor symptoms and undertook the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before being found to be positive for Covid-19. The 31-year old Kiwi will now begin a 5-days of isolation.
The other players in the team have returned negative tests.
Tom Latham has been named to lead the team in Williamson's absence while Hamish Rutherford, who is already in England playing for Leicestershire Foxes will join the squad as Williamson’s replacement.
Notably, New Zealand lost the first match of the 3 matches Test series against England and will play their second Test from June 10-14.

As per a new 5-year deal between the NZC, the New Zealand Cricket players' association and 6 major associations, the women cricketers (domestic, international) would get equal match fees for the same amount of work on the same day as their male counterparts from August 1st.It is for the first time that the men's and women's game has been combined under one agreement. Taking immediate cognizance, the Edgbaston officials and the England and Wales Cricket Board apologised and said that they would investigate the matter. 'We’re incredible sorry to read this and do not condone this behaviour in anyway. We’ll be investigating this ASAP', said Edgbaston.ECB on the other hand, said, 'we are very concerned to hear reports of racist abuse at today's Test match. We are in contact with colleagues at Edgbaston who will investigate.
