      Rohit Sharma is set to return as the captain of the national side as the All-India Senior Selection Committee announced the Indian squads for the three-match T20I and ODI series against England on Thursday.

      Post the completion of the rescheduled Test, the Rohit-led side will kickstart the limited-overs leg with the first T20I in Southampton on July 7.

      Two different squads have been selected for the T20I series. Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant & Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the first T20I but will be available thereafter.

      The likes of Deepak Hooda & Avesh Khan have been rewarded for their recent exploits and are part of India's T20I squad for all three games. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad & Sanju Samson have been selected for the first T20I but excluded from the rest of the matches.

      Ravindra Jadeja will make his return in the shortest form of cricket in the second T20I and is also a part of India's ODIs squad.

      Arshdeep Singh has got his maiden call-up to the ODI squad. Shikhar Dhawan will be back in Indian colours for the ODI series and while Mohd Shami isn't part of the T20I series, he has been included for the 50-over contests.

      Ravi Bishnoi & Umran Malik have also been included in all T20Is but are not part of the ODI squads.
