IND VS SA: Team will be feeding off David Miller's confidence, says Temba Bavuma

South Africa's David Miller was one of the stars of Gujarat Titans' amazing run in their debut season where the Hardik Pandya-led side also won their maiden IPL trophy.

Praising his performance in the recently concluded IPL, Temba Bavuma, the South African skipper, said that in-form David Miller's performance in IPL gives the team a lot of confidence. The team will be feeding off the confidence and knowledge he brings in, the skipper who will lead his side in the upcoming 5-match T20 series against India said. Most of the South African stars who participated in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League put up an impressive show. However, Miller was outstanding, he was a formidable one-man army for the debutants who helped them win at least 6 games while chasing. He collected 481 runs in 16 games and was also the 6th highest scorer of IPL 2022.

Bavuma further hinted that Miller who plays on the 6th spot for his national side might be promoted up the order. 'If the opportunity is there then David will get a lot more balls to face' the 32-year-old said.

Apart from Miller, Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen who are all a part of the South Africa squad for the India series have performed well in IPL 2022. While de Kock was the 3rd highest run-getter in IPL, Kagiso Rabada was the 3rd highest wicket-taker in the cash-rich tournament.

KL Rahul-led India is set to face SA starting 9th June in the 5-match T20 series.
