IND vs BAN: Indian women's cricket team achieves clean sweep over Bangladesh in T20I Series

The Indian women's cricket team clinched a decisive 21-run victory against Bangladesh in the fifth and final T20I, securing a commanding clean sweep in the series. The triumph marked a significant turnaround from their heated ODI series last year against the same team, where they had settled for a 1-1 draw.

In the latest matchup, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, India set a challenging target. Dayalan Hemalatha led the batting efforts with a brisk 28-ball 37, helping India reach a competitive score of 156/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Hemalatha's performance was instrumental in setting up a solid foundation for the team.

Bangladesh, in their chase, showed resilience and determination but struggled to maintain momentum against India's tight bowling attack. While Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun put up a valiant effort with commendable innings, the lack of support from other batters hindered their chase. Radha Yadav emerged as a standout performer for India, capturing 3 wickets for 24 runs. Her bowling spell was pivotal in curbing Bangladesh's run rate and ultimately, they were limited to 135/6 at the end of their innings.

The series victory is particularly sweet for captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her team, reflecting a significant improvement over their last T20I series encounter with Bangladesh. Previously, India had managed a narrow series win with a 2-1 scoreline. This time, however, they left no room for doubt, sweeping the series 5-0 and demonstrating their dominance in the shorter format of the game.
