Hardik Pandya who has been named as the skipper of the new Ahmedabad IPL team is sure of making a strong comeback in the upcoming season of the league. 

Once compared with the legendary Kapil Dev and billed as India's best all-rounder, Hardik Pandya's career took a nose-dive after a back injury. Despite the surgery, the back issues troubled Hardik as he found himself out of Team India and also his IPL team Mumbai Indians.

However, a determined Hardik Pandya who has been named as the skipper of the new Ahmedabad IPL team is sure of making a strong comeback in the upcoming season of the lucrative league.

The Baroda-based cricketer told Economic Times that he has always worked hard in silence and will continue to do so.

Further, Pandya feels that spending a lot of time in the bio-bubbles has also affected his performance and hence he decided to take some time off to prepare better and reflect on himself.

'I wanted some time off to reflect on myself and understand which areas I need to work on and concentrate on improving those things', said Pandya who last played for India in the World T20.
