Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India touch down in Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series

Indian women's cricket team's first assignment post the Mithali Raj-era is about to begin as Harmanpreet Kaur-led squad reached Sri Lanka ahead of the limited-overs series on Sunday.

India will lock horns with Sri Lanka in 3 T20Is from June 23-27 in Dambulla, followed by as many ODIs between July 1-7 in Pallekele. This will be India's first series since their early exit from the 2022 women's ODI World Cup, where they were considered one of the favourites to go all the way.

It will also be the first time that the Women in Blue will take the field after long-time servant Mithali Raj announced her retirement from all forms of cricket. Apart from her, Jhuland Goswami will also miss the series.
