David Warner ruled out of the final T20I match against New-Zealand due to injury, likely to return in IPL

Due to an adductor injury, David Warner will miss the final Twenty20 International match against New Zealand in Auckland. However, he should be well in time for the IPL 2024 to begin next month. He was given a rest during the second Twenty20 International on Friday as part of Australia's series-long rotation plan.

"Warner will require a brief recovery period which is not expected to affect his availability for the upcoming Indian Premier League leading into the ICC Men's T20 World Cup," a CA statement said.

Warner was a part of Australia's playing XI in the T20I series opener at the Sky Stadium in Wellington on Wednesday, February 21 and contributed with a crucial 20-ball-32 in his team's six-wicket win.

It is anticipated that Warner would recover in seven to ten days. Warner's bilateral international career will expire if he misses the series finale.
