David Warner ready to discuss leadership roles with Cricket Australia

Australian cricketer David Warner is open to discussing leadership roles again with Cricket Australia (CA).

The 35-year-old had been banned from taking any future leadership roles by CA after he was found guilty in the Ball tampering incident back in 2018. Warner was also handed a one-year ban following that.

The former Australian captain has been recommended for taking up a leadership role by many former players, including Aaron finch himself, who retired from ODI cricket recently.

'My phone’s here. At the end of the day, what’s done in the past is done. There’s a new board and I’m always happy to sit down and have a chat about anything,' Warner said in an interview with Fox Sports.

With FInch gone, pacer Pat Cummins' name was doing the rounds to become the next Aussie captain. However, with Warner throwing his name in the hat, the board might consider the southpaw as well.
